How to track time

Time tracking is a valuable feature for any team leader or project manager to see how much time was spent on a particular task or project. When you assign a task, you can set estimated or planned hours. Once the task is completed, the task assignee reports actual time spent on the task. Manager can generate a report and analyze how much time was spent on the particular task or project.

How to enter estimated (or planned) time:

  1. To set estimated or planned time, enter an existing task or create a new task.
  2. Specify the number of hours in Planned Time field.
  3. To assign the task, click  .


How to enter actual time:

Open the task, click on Time Tracking tab, enter the number of hours spent and click Add. The data will be saved in Time Tracking tab.

Actual time can be entered for each day of the work. You can also input time spent on the task for past dates. If the hours were entered incorrectly, you can delete and re-enter the time.

How can I compare Plan vs Actual Time

You can view planned vs actual time (in hours) in the Time column in any table view:

Time tracking functionality is enabled by a system administrator on the company's level. To enable (or disable) time tracking, an admin should go to Control Panel and tick (or untick) Enable Time Tracking for Time Tracking:
