How to manage attached files and track file versions

In Actionspace, you can attach files to any task you have created or observe, as well as to any task you were assigned on.

To perform any actions on an attached file, hover over the file name and click the icon . A list of commands available to perform on the file (Delete, Lock, Add new version, Download) will be displayed.

To edit and update any attached file, download it to your computer via Download menu option and make necessary changes. Once you complete editing, save the file with the same name and upload it back to the task via Add New Version menu option. You can see all versions of the file via Download menu option.

You can also delete any file you have uploaded or prevent other users from updating it.

  • To prevent other users from adding new file versions, use the menu option Lock. After that, other users can only download the file. To unlock adding new versions, select the menu option Allow changes.
  • To delete a file, use the menu option Delete.
