12 Tips How to Use Your Time Efficiently (Part 3)

The last part is devoted to the attitude to work and time. People become workaholics, they easily burn out and lose motivation and all of these problems are the result of incorrect position towards working time. To avoid these troubles follow the next simple rules:

1. Measure time in activities

It doesn’t matter how long have you been working today. Only how much have you done is valuable. It applies not only to work but to all your life. Measure time not in hours and minutes but in events you are involved in.

2. Look forward to success

Think about success, imagine you have reached it. Take 5 minutes during work to remember what you are working for, what you will have in case of success. It eases the most difficult tasks, it helps to relax and motivates to continue and do your best.

3. Don’t forget to relax

4-5 times during workday leave your workplace for 10-15 minutes. Drink a cup of tea, look out the window or do some exercises. Emotional and physical burnout is not something you are trying to achieve, is it? Don’t think such rests waste your valuable time, perceive it as a necessary therapy to increase your efficiency.
Note, time-management is not only about effective and hard work, it’s also about keeping work-rest balance

And don’t forget to reward yourself with some nice stuff like a day of rest, additional episode of your favorite TV series or a piece of chocolate, it’s up to you.
